To subdue the enemy without fighting is the supreme excellence. - Sun Tzu

All you libertarians- You're fools. I wish I had the patience to be more diplomatic about it.

But I can explain: Less government oversight of the massive corporations which are the cause of so many of our problems will only result in more problems. Imagine a weaker FCC (if that's even possible), so one company could control most broadcasting. Do you think that might possibly lead to abuse? Or less environmental regulation- Don't have asthma yet? Your kids will!

Corporations want one thing- Profit. They don't care about us unless they can make a buck off it. It is the very government controls which keep us safe, happy, wealthy, productive, and healthy. Compare to most of South America (Mexico is the best example, because there exists the most information on the issue for that country), where weak government results in increased corporate power and a subhuman existance for the overwhelming majority of working-class people.

Libertarianism, as written, will result, in the long run, in the US becoming, effectively, third-world.
